Modern Preacher by Leus

Since the Bereshit (genesis) of human culture, women have carried the mark of the bitten apple as a symbol of original sin and the guilt that ensued. The feminine archetype preaches to herself and others, spreading the gospel of her responsibility. She shrinks herself, covers up, and bears her ever-expanding load. To this day, instead of relishing their hard-earned ability to distinguish good from evil, many women still berate themselves, stuck in a never-ending, all-too-common loop.

"Modern Preacher" is an indie music video project by LEUS, a collaboration of two women artists: musician and songwriter Reut Inbar and film director Daria Turetski. The project was inspired by their shared experience of staying in toxic relationships because of a belief that they are somehow to blame, that they have to try harder, be stronger, or cover themselves more.
